INGLESIDE, San Francisco — The greater Ingleside neighborhood is patrolled by both Taraval and Ingleside police stations. The following is drawn from station crime blotters and does not include all reported incidents.
Sunday, March 22, 2020
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of an auto accident at 8:38 p.m. at the intersection of San Fernando Way and Ocean Avenue. The officers searched the area and located a subject who appeared intoxicated. The suspect was arrested on a warrant.
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of a trespasser at 11:33 a.m. on the 700 block of Victoria Street. The victim said that he had been in his backyard when he heard a loud noise and saw the suspect jump into the backyard. Officers found the suspect, who said he had been chased by someone else and hit a nearby car to make the noise as an attempt to cause neighbors to call the police. The suspect was cited for trespassing.
Taraval Police Station officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress at 10:49 p.m. on the first block of De Long Street. They saw a flashlight moving from room to room inside a house, secured the perimeter and detained the suspect, who was in possession of burglary tools inside a backpack. With a statement from a witness, the suspect was arrested.
A white 2014 Mercedes SLK was reported stolen at 10:15 a.m. on the 100 block of Margaret Avenue.
A hit-and-run collision involving two vehicles was reported stolen at 8:35 p.m. at the intersection of Junipero Serra Boulevard and Ocean Avenue.

A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle at 3:00 a.m. on the 100 block of Vernon Street.
An incident of pickpocketing was reported at 7:20 a.m. on the 3000 block of San Jose Avenue.
An incident of “theft thru computer” was reported at 11:14 a.m. on the 100 block of Paloma Avenue.

A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle at 9:00 p.m. on the 600 block of Urbano Drive.
Wednesday, March 25, 2020
A forced-entry burglary was reported at 3:34 a.m. on the 1500 block of Ocean Avenue.
A license plate was reported stolen at 4:16 p.m. at the intersection of Vidal Drivate and Rivas Avenue.
Windows were reported broken by a vandal at 7:14 a.m. on the 1900 block of Ocean Avenue.
Thursday, March 26, 2020
An incident of shoplifting was reported at 10:26 a.m. on the 1600 block of Ocean Avenue.
A vehicle was reported burglarized at 1:00 a.m. on the 200 block of Ridge Lane.
A collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle was reported at 1:57 p.m. at the intersection of Ocean and Brighton avenues.
An Ingleside Police Station officer responded to a report of a stolen vehicle at 9:57 a.m. on the 300 block of Monterey Boulevard. An officer was directed to the location of a stolen vehicle by the registered owner and found a female suspect and a male suspect asleep inside it. A time after backup arrived on the scene, the female driver awoke and drove away at a high speed.
