Activists Take Credit for Ingleside Walgreens Window Smashing
The store’s five large windows were smashed overnight on the Transgender Day of Remembrance.

Taraval Station police officers responded to the 1500 block of Ocean Avenue for a report of a fight in progress and possibly shots fired at 4:35 on Tuesday, June 16.
The victim, the proprietor of Homrun Liquors, informed officers that no gun or gunshots were involved in the incident, according to police.
Two young men in the building at the time and a merchant two doors away told The Light that they heard no gunfire.
The suspect entered the store, broke an item in the store, walked behind the counter and began to physically assault the merchant.
A witness said that the suspect fled east on Ocean Avenue and turned on Miramar Avenues.
The merchant was treated for non life-threatening injuries and cooperated with police.
This incident is still under investigation.
