24 Hour Fitness reopened Saturday after about a three-week-long closure for sprucing up.
The gym on Ingleside's stretch of Ocean Avenue now has, among the usual fresh coat of paint, new equipment, a new turf zone, a dedicated squat rack area and a sporty spa called Recovery24.
The Recovery24 space is equipped with state-of-the-art Hyperice technology, according to the gym chain. Equipment includes full-body massage chairs, zero-gravity recliners, compression boots and a stretching area with recovery tools.
The kickboxing area, once occupied by Nine Round, now has punching bags just outside. The basketball court, which had been out of commission for a while, has been replaced with a weight room.
