West Portal Avenue staple Squat & Gobble announced on Thursday that it would close later this month.

"After 32 amazing years, the time has come for us to say Goodbye!" the business posted on social media. "It wasn’t an easy decision, but unfortunately, all good things must come to an end!" according to a post on the restaurant's social media confirmed by The Light.

Squat & Gobble survived a devastating fire in 2012 and a pandemic. The cafe and crepery once had five locations across the city.

"From rebuilding after a fire, to welcoming generations of families through our doors for kids, graduations, birthdays and celebrations, sharing joy and comfort has been the greatest privilege of our lives," the owners wrote.

The final day of business will be Sunday, Jan. 25.
