San Francisco Police Department officers conducted a well-being check at a home on Westwood Highlands' Monterey Boulevard and found four deceased people on Wednesday afternoon.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that two of the dead were children and obtained information that the well-being check was done at the request of a man who told police he had not been able to reach his brother's family.
"The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is conducting a parallel investigation and will determine cause and manner of death," according to police.
Police said the case appears to be an isolated incident and there is no general threat to the public.
