San Ramon-based 24 Hour Fitness announced on June 15 that it would permanently close 10 of its Bay Area locations, including its Ocean View location on Alemany Boulevard.
Before filing for bankruptcy earlier this year, and the impact of COVID-19, 24 Hour Fitness had 430 locations.
The gym chain promised that members of closed locations could any others for the rest of the year.
San Francisco health officials project that gyms will be able to reopen in August.
