The public can provide feedback on a controversial streetscape project beside City College of San Francisco that reconfigured the roadway to swap out parking for a bike lane and other changes.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency installed the Frida Kahlo Way Quick-Build project about a year ago. Changes included a two-way protected bike lane on the east side of Frida Kahlo Way that extends to the south side of Judson Avenue for two blocks to Foerster Street, the removal and replacement of 43 Masonic bus stops and traffic light retiming.

City College’s Board of Trustees voted in February 2024 not to support the project until concerns, mostly over the loss of 29 street parking spaces, were met.

The project was completed last summer, with design adjustments and corridor monitoring as a precaution.

Now the public can provide input via a survey open through May 18.

"Your input will help shape the next steps," the SFMTA announcement states. "Please take the survey and share your thoughts!"
