Balboa Park BART Station Gets A Cafe

Neighborhood residents Tamya Watson and Nebiet "Nedi" Barham were killed early Monday morning in a DUI crash that resulted in an arrest.
San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins charged Santa Rosa resident Jayden Elliot Patrick, 21, today in connection with a high-speed crash at Grafton and Jules avenues that killed two women and injured several others.
Early Monday morning Taraval Station police officers responded to a report of a vehicle crash in Ingleside, according to the San Francisco Police Department. The two occupants of one vehicle had life-threatening injuries and rendered aid until paramedics arrived. Tamya Watson, 42, and Nebiet "Nedi" Barham, 35, died at the scene.
Watson was a resident of Lee Avenue and Barham lived on Farralones Street.
Three of the four occupants of Patrick's vehicle were injured and taken to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries.
On Wednesday night, a memorial of candles and flowers was left at the intersection.
A resident who lives beside the site of the incident said the scene "looked as though one of the cars had flipped so the one car had to have been going pretty fast. Several of my neighbors' parked cars had minor damage."
Patrick is charged with two counts of murder, one count of reckless driving with an allegation it caused injury and three counts of driving under the influence of alcohol causing injury with allegations of causing great bodily injury.
